The Ondo state government has described as false, a statement credited to the All Progressive Congress (APC) Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Adesanya to the effect that it has embarked on a last minute recruitment of 10,000 staff and selling of government property.
Urging the people to disregard the statement, the Commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade insisted that the statement was full of lies. According to Akinmade, “We are aware that Adesanya has lost faith with the APC structure in the state and needed to make noise to attract attention to himself. He is seeking attention to get appointment hence, the deliberate falsehood.
“We warn the Governor- elect to be wary of such character, because he who lives in glass house does not throw stones.
“The attention seeker should have known that government does not recruit through the back door, and it is wrong to insinuate that as many as 10,000 workers could be secretly drafted into the state employment” Akinmade said, positing that it is most unfortunate if government would be left in hands of characters like Adesanya.
