PORT HARCOURT – GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike Thursrday reiterated before the Inspector General of Police , Mr Ibrahim Idris that his life had been in danger since the sudden withdrawal of his Chief Security Officer CSO, by the national Police chief.
The governor spoke when the IG , Mr Ibrahim Idris paid him a courtesy visit in Government House, Port Harcourt , stressing that the withdrawal of his CSO had exposed him to all manner of insecurity.
Continung, the governor who called on the police Chief to redeploy an Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in the state Police command, Mr Steven Hasso and the Commander , Special Anti Robbery squad, SARS, Mr Akin Fakorede for allegedly being unprofessional in their police operations said it was unfortunate that the office of the IG could say that his CSO was withdrawn over alleged misconduct

Accusing the high command of the police for allegedly taking sides with the two police officers he called for their redeployment from the state the governor said his CSO merely stopped alleged invasion of the Government House.
He further advised against police politicising security matters during the elections,stressing that it should strive to be professional during the eleftions.
The national Police chief, Idris said he was in the state to be sure all security arrangements were pplace for a free and violence free elections
