FORMER Chief of Staff to the Delta State Governor and erstwhile Commissioner for Housing, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, has said the return of the former governor of the state, Chief James Ibori, will definitely change the political equation in the state.
Speaking to Vanguard, he said: “I feel really happy, of course, Delta missed him. His return will change the political equation in the state. Ibori has a way of reaching out and settling political issues within a political family.”
“He is humble and has respect for seniority in politics as well as elders. He has a way of talking you into agreeing with him on political issues. Some crises in Delta State political landscape would have not taken place if Ibori were around because he will personally locate wherever you are and come to quietly discuss and settle all issues before others will know,” he said.
Akpeki added: “Ibori has respect for experience and he does not go back on his promises. His only weakness in my opinion is over trusting without verifying the political damage being caused by that category of persons.”
His words: “On the whole, Ibori is a nice man and we will be happy to welcome him back to our great Urhobo land.”
