Jos —There was bomb scare, yesterday, along Goodluck Jonathan Way in Jos, the Plateau State capital, as residents raised alarm over a car parked and left unattended for many hours along the road.

The car allegedly parked around Ande junction drew the attention of passers-by who suspected that there might be an explosive inside it.

Recall that the twin explosions which killed many people at the Terminus area of the city some years back were loaded in abandoned vehicles.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Tyopev Terna, who confirmed the bomb scare, however, explained that there was nothing in the vehicle.

According to him, “we got a call at about 3pm and our men, led by the O/C Anti-bomb squad, were mobilized to the scene; the vehicle was checked before being towed away from the scene.”
