TO help address unemployment in the country, Information and Communication Teachnology company, Global Virtual Nigeria Limited is offering 200 Nigerians ICT scholarships worth $3,500 each.
The company, which says that it is the only certified Redhat training centre in West Africa region, announced that the scholarship would help to build a new set of world changers that would bring solutions to prevalent challanges not just in Nigeria but the world at large.
Speaking on the development at a press conference in Lagos recently, Lead Training Consultant, Global Virtual Nigeria, Mr Adedayo Adesanya said that the beneficiaries would be announced at the Reboot 2016, a programme organised by the company slated for 14th of December, 2016.
“Once you can operate computer, the opportunity is open for you,” said Adesanya. “All you need to do is to visit our Instagram page ‘vnigeria_ctp’ or follow Reboot 2016’s Guest Speaker @timmydakolo and you will see what you need to do to be part of this scholarship. Some questions will also be asked on the day of Reboot 2016 which have to do with challenges people are facing in their cares or businesses.Winners will be announced on that day.”
Adesanya pointed out that the programme is in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and employment and the London Business Academy.
