In response to the withdrawal of Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme from the Nov 12 cracker against Algeria after sustaining an injury, Gernot Rohr has called up Daniel Akpeyi in his stead.

Akpeyi, who plies his trade in the South African Absa Premiership with Chippa United has previously filled in for Ikeme against Egypt in an African Nations Cup qualifying match.
