FACTIONAL National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Ali Modu-Sheriff, yesterday, said that the party’s candidate, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim will spring surprises by winning the November 26 governorship election.
Sheriff, who spoke at the flag off campaign of the party held at Ore in Odigbo Local Council of the state, said he is confident of the chances of Ibrahim in the poll and urged the electorate to vote massively for him.
Handing over the party’s flag to Ibrahim, Sheriff pleaded with PDP members to remain steadfast and continue to work for the success of the party as it would retain the reins of power in the state.
Responding, Ibrahim promised that within six months in office he will clear all outstanding salaries and pensions owed workers in the state. The candidate also assured that within 100 days in office, boarding system would be introduced in 100 public secondary schools across the state and electricity would be provided for communities that are having issues across the state.
Ibrahim told the gathering that he would give new cars to traditional rulers across the state while five per cent of the allocation to the state would be given to the monarchs.
