The Enugu State government has concluded plans to construct an additional 500 housing units for low income residents of the state.

The new housing project, to be sited at Akpuoga-Nike, is in addition to the first 100 housing units that were recently handed over to civil servants in the state.

State Commissioner for Housing, Charles Asogwa, who made this known in a statement signed by the ministry’s Public Relations Officer, PRO, Cletus Eze, also stated that the state government has the interest of the indigent and low income groups at heart; he added that this motivated the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi administration to embark on affordable housing for all classes of residents.
