We designed Elizade University as Nigeria’s engine room of knowledge — Chief Ade-Ojo

THE founder of Elizade University, Ilara Mokin, Ondo State, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, says the varsity was created to impart knowledge into students who will later use the knowledge to develop Nigeria.

Ade-Ojo stated this during the inauguration of new members of the Governing Council of the institution.

A  former Managing Director of  Access Bank Plc and current President of Nigeria Stock Exchange, Mr. Aigboje Imoukhuede, is Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council, while members include Dr. Ayo Ojo;  the wife of  a  former governor of  Ekiti State, Mrs. Bisi Fayemi and Adekunle Ade-Ojo.

Others are Mr. Bola Adediji, Prof. Theophilus Olawoye, Mr. Abegunde Oladipo, Prof. Biyi Akinnaso and Mr. Olusola Adekanola.

The founder said the university was meant not only to become a big university but a varsity with distinction and achievement that will help the economy of the country, adding that the institution would be entrepreneurial

According to him “ I see this university as a catalyst that can propel Nigeria to a better country.

“ This university is meant to transform our society, to deliver us from poverty through the application of knowledge acquired “.
