ABUJA-President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated former Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Alhaji Shehu Malami, on his attainment of 79 years of age.

Felicitating with Malami who is a Prince of Sokoto with a title ” Sarkin Sudan” on Friday, the described the businessman and diplomat as an asset to the country.

“Nigeria will remain ever grateful to the Sarkin Sudan for his years of public service and for his continuing support to humanitarian causes even as he ages gracefully,” President Buhari said, adding that elder statesman “deserves all the attention and accolades he is receiving on the attainment of this milestone.”

The President prayed to Allah to grant the celebrant more years in good health for the benefit of his family in particular and the nation in general.
