An Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court, yesterday, granted three students N500,000 bail each over alleged gang raping of a female colleague.
The accused, Samuel Omodele, 21; Olabanjo Balogun, 21, and Divine Francis, 20, all students of Nigeria Institute of Oceanogra-phy and Marine Research, Lagos, are facing charges of conspiracy and rape.
Chief Magistrate B. O. Osunsanmi, ordered the accused to also produce two sureties each in the like sum.
Osunsanmi adjourned the case to January 17 for mention.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Inuoha, told the court that the students committed the offences on November 3 at the school premises.
He said that the accused gang raped one of their colleagues aged 20, adding “they also forced her to suck their manhoods,” he added.
He said the act contravened Sections 259, 260, 261 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
