Two men were, yesterday, arrested by police in Lagos for alleged complicity in the death of a robbery suspect in Ajegunle Alakuko area of Lagos.
The robbery suspect was said to have met his death when a mob descended on him.
According to a source, a resident of the area (names withheld) reported to the police that an unidentified man was seen jumping out of his apartment and was caught.
The incident attracted a mob and, according to the source, they beat the robbery suspect comatose.
He was later taken to General Hospital Sango-Ota in Ogun State, where he was confirmed dead by a doctor.
Items recovered from the deceased suspect include an HP laptop, one iPhone 5, two DVD players, airtime cards, power bank, Rolex wristwatch and unspecified amount of money, which were alleged to have been stolen.
Lagos Police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmus, confirmed the incident.
