W/Cup 2018: Algeria will bounce back, Slimani vows

Algerian striker Islam Slimani said the Fennec Foxes will do everything to win the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on November 12.

Algeria failed to win in Blida, when they hosted Cameroon in the first match of the qualifiers last Sunday. And the team is distressed as coach Milovan Rejavac has resigned in the wake of the 1-1 draw following a dressing room revolt.

But the Leicester City striker said qualification for Algeria is still very much achievable; stressing that the game against the Super Eagles will be their turning point.

“It was a difficult game against a very good team of Cameroon. We did everything to win, but unfortunately we were not so effective,” Slimani said in an interview with Le Buteur.

“It happens, but we will do everything to make amends in the next game.”

“We will do everything to bring smiles to the Algerian people.

“That our fans can rest assured, we are united and working for the good of our people.”
