Owerri—Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and his Abia State counterpart, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, have declared that the oil-producing states should be given adequate attention.
They made their position known in Owerri, during the Niger Delta Development Forum, NDDF, powered by the Partnership Initiative for Niger Delta, PIND.
Governor Rochas Okorocha who was represented by his Deputy, Eze Madumere, said the region was in dire need of assistance to help it find a lasting solution to the challenges facing them.
“Imo State government is ready to collaborate with the Niger Delta Development Forum in electricity and other infrastructure development.”
Governor Ikpeazu, who was represented by Mr. Sam Hart, Senior Special Adviser on Public Communication, said Abia state came to the event in search of investors.
