Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has donated the sum of N1 million and a plot of land to Mrs. Lucy Ejike, an indigene of the state who won gold medal at the last Paralympics in Rio.

The National Judicial Council, NJC, yesterday, sacked three judges found to have abused their office by accepting gratifications from litigants before their courts. The Justices the legal body under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, suspended from office with immediate effect were the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal Ilorin Division, Justice Mohammed Ladan Tsamiya, Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice I. A. Umezulike and Justice Kabiru M. Auta of the High Court of Justice, Kano State.
