ado-ekiti—Ekiti State Government has commissioned a block of three classrooms worth N10 million donated by the wife of the State Governor, Mrs. Feyisetan Olayemi Fayose to Erelu Adebayo Children Home, Iyin-Ekiti.
While commissioning the building, the State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose who was apparently moved by the kind gesture of his wife announced the immediate release of five hundred thousand naira (N500, 000.00) for food supplements and clothing for children at the Home.
According to the statement issued in Ado-Ekiti yesterday by the Special Assistant (Media) to the wife of the Governor, Gbenga Ariyibi, Fayose equally announced the automatic employment to a volunteer worker at the Home, Mrs. Bukola Adeniran.
Mrs. Fayose observed that a number of the children have been finding it difficult to move to the next class after their sojourn at the home.
She however lauded her husband for his support in ensuring the success of the project, promising to ensure that the educational needs of children at the home are met.
While speaking, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Gender Empowerment and Social Development, Mrs. Yinka Ogundayomi encouraged parents to take good care of their children and give them sound education for a better tomorrow.
She expressed appreciation to the state government for assisting the home with the basic needs.
