THE member representing Ughelli North Constituency ll, in Delta State House of Assembly, Prince Eric Oharisi, has charged Igbo community in Ughelli to embrace unity.
Oharisi, who gave the charge while receiving an award of excellence from the Igbo community during their Igbo Day celebration, said that it was only through unity of purpose that both indigenes and non-indigenes can live together in harmony.
The Igbo Day celebration which attracted sons and daughters of Igbo community from all walks of life, presented the award to Oharisi as a mark of recognition of his contributions to the Igbo community resident in his constituency, Ughelli.
Presenting the award, the Chairman of the ceremony, Mr. Anozie Raymond, said, “This award of excellence is being presented to you (Oharisi) for your generosity and your detribalized nature as member representing both non-indigenes and indigenes of Ughelli community without discrimination.”
Responding on behalf of Oharisi, his Legislative Assistant, Jim Omokoro, said he was overwhelmed by the honour accorded to his boss on the auspicious celebration of the Igbo day celebration.
