THE Delta State Government has assured schools in Idumuje-Ugboko communities of Aniocha North local government area of its preparedness to assist the schools in some of their educational challenges. The state government had also promised to channel all complaints such as lack of science and English teachers, dilapidated buildings in both primary and secondary schools to the appropriate quarters for immediate attention.
The Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Dr. lfeanyi Okowa on Education Monitoring, Mrs. Ese Tersy Torru gave this assurance during her inspection of Idumuje-Ugboko Comprehensive Secondary School, Ugboko and Nkeze primary schools.
Torru who had said her inspection of the schools was part of the Smart Agenda/Dream of the Okowa’s administration, explained that his government would do all that is necessary to ensure schools in the state maintains high standard among other schools in the country.
While expressing dissatisfactions with the manner the students had destroyed the school property, chairs and other learning materials, Torru explained that the school pupils lack maintenance culture, urging the school management to take stringent measures against any student found in such act.
