Following the increasing challenges of waste management in the country, InterMarc Consulting has concluded plans to hold the maiden edition of its annual “National Waste Management Conference” which is scheduled to hold between 1st and 2nd of November, at Civic Centre, Victoria island, Lagos.
The conference which will feature keynote speakers including, Amina J. Mohammed, Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Environment, Mrs Orelope Adefulire, Senior Special Adviser to the President on SDG, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Lawrence Anukam, DG/CEO NESREA, Dr. Bukar Hassan, Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Environment among others, will provide participants with the rare opportunity to brainstorm and discuss issues affecting waste management in the country.
The confab, according to the organizers, aims at ascertaining how best to achieve the objectives of EPR and other related policy frameworks that will translate to the achievement of the national and international declarations as well as sustainable development goals on the environment.
Also, the conference topics will cover Waste environmental impact, Waste Management technology, waste collection and billing, energy from waste, emerging waste categorization and management, environmental remediation, legislation and behavioural issues.
In addition, the confab, which will be hosted by seasoned broadcaster, Wofai Samuel, will recognize those who have not only invested heavily in the industry, but also, those who have helped to create the success-story that is currently being enjoyed in most states of the federation.
