Let’s join hands to re-build state – Ize-Iyamu

BENIN –  PÈOPLES Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Pastor Osage Ize-Iyamu has reminded the Muslim community in the state that the  September 28, 2016, governorship  election was a divine call on all of Edo people, irrespective of their faith, to join hands to rebuild the state.

He spoke   at the weekend during a meeting with the leaders    of the Muslim community in the state led by Mallam Abdulafatah Enabukele at the Central mosque, Benin City.  He told them that he will not be a governor who discriminates against citizens on account of their religious belief.

He said as a Pastor, he believes that all citizens have a duty to love one another, eschew all forms of violence, adhere strictly to the noble tenets of Islam and Christianity for peaceful  coexistence so as to enable them play their parts in “achieving the Edo state of their dreams.

“I want to tell you to come out and vote  on Wednesday next week  for the PDP with the symbol of an umbrella. If you vote for the PDP you will be voting for a future where our youths will be empowered to have jobs as well as our women and mothers”, he said. Presenting copies of his simple agenda to the community he assured them that the document which is his programme of action contains the blueprint on how he will provide quality leadership if eligible voters vote for him.
