The legendary South African jazz maestro Jonathan Butler is set to make a swift return to Lagos after a huge successful performance in the 2015 UNESCO World Jazz Festival held in Lagos.
Butler who is rated one of the finest jazz guitarists, song writer and singer with a music career that has span for decades has been a formidable influence among Afro Jazz lovers across the globe.
He will lead other celebrated artistes in a one night African music concert tagged: ‘A night at the Kazbah’ that will be holding at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on October 22.
‘A night at Kazbah’, a popular Afro jazz radio programme run by curators of contemporary African and Nigerian music, Smooth 98.1 fm, returns in its second billing after last year’s successful debut featuring Ruby Gyang, Bez, Kunle Ayo & Brymo.
This year’s concert with a cultural exploration designed to bring good Nigerian, African and World music to the forefront of our consciousness and promote indigenous artistry, boasts of a bigger line-up and will be featuring soulful house trio Mi CASA, The Voice Nigeria reality TV winner, A’rese and others.
