Sapele—Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Monday Igbuya, has called on non-indigenes in the state to support the state governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, in his ongoing socio-economic, human capital and infrastructural developmental initiatives, adding that the governor will continue to carry them along in his administration.

Chief Igbuya, who made the call in Sapele when he played host to prominent non-indigenes in his constituency, said: “Governor Okowa is a good man who is always ready to offer you your privileges and positions in his government. Some of you present here have benefited, others are benefiting and more shall benefit from him.”

Addressing them as part of his constituency briefing, he said, “I am to request that you support our governor. The times are hard as the state allocation has reduced mainly due to the activities of Avengers and others, which have adversely affected the revenue accruing to the state.”

Those in attendance includ people from Arewa, Afenifere, Ndigbo, Edo, Ilage, Efik, Ibibio, Tiv and many others.
