UKPEDI—The Esama of Ukpedi Kingdom, Delta State, Olorogun Okiemute Okwagbe, has appealed to the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to come to their aid over the dilapidated roads in Okwagbe community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.

Addressing newsmen, Olorogun Okwagbe, who is also a Peoples Democracy Party, PDP, chieftain said that one of the major problems facing Okwagbe community was the issue of failed roads which has subjected the residents to untold hardship.

Okwagbe who said that though they were aware of the current economic recession in the country and its impact on Okowa’s administration in the state, he appealed to Okowa, Senator Ovie Omo Agege, representing Delta Central senatorial district, Solomon Ahwinawhi, representing Udu\ Ughelli federal constituency and other government agencies to please come to Okwagbe community’s aid.

He alleged that before the 2015 governorship election, he had appealed to the people of Okwagbe communities to vote for the PDP, promising that if Okowa wins, Okwagbe community will be massively developed and that the governor polled more than 7000 votes from the communities hence the governor should come to their aid by finding a lasting solution to their problem.
