As Nigeria set to mark its 56 years of independence, Christ Embassy Church has called on Nigerians to embrace agriculture as a means of revitalising the nation’s economy.

Speaking in Lagos, the Zonal Director of Christ Embassy (Lagos Zone 2), Pastor Vale Odu-Thomas, said it was time the country exploited its potential in agriculture and feed its teeming population.

Odu-Thomas, who made the call at Reach Out Nigeria 2016 organised by the church, lamented that despite the fact that the country was blessed with land that can grow seedlings on its own, complaints of hunger persist.

He said: “Pastor Christ Oyakhilome always said it that there are two things that can take a man to higher level which is new information and new attitude.”

We are championing a campaign of new information and attitude for Nigerians to see several opportunities in agriculture.”

The cleric noted that: “As a country, we cannot over state how God has blessed us, we have land that can grow seedlings on their own but yet to take full advantage of it. Not many countries have this kind of opportunity, so it is time for us to go into agriculture to sustain our country.”

“We are encouraged Nigerians and youths in particular to take advantage of several incentives provided by government”, he added.
