Cleared results of  students of Lagos State University External System, LASUES, are set to graduate this month.

According to reports on Friday, by the Special Taskforce set up by the Vice Chancellor,   Prof.   Olarenwaju Fagbohun in February, 2016 to resolve all outstanding issues that related to examinations and results of the External System; 2000 results will be cleared for graduation by August .

This is in addition to the 2500 results approved by school Senate on Wednesday, 27th April and the 1,071 recently cleared on July 21st ,2016.

The Chairman of the taskforce, Prof. Cordelia Nwaboku, in the findings of the committee assured external students who have special cases of abandonment of programme, the opportunity to re-sit.

Her words; “Re-sit examinations are being considered to be conducted for students who abandoned their programmes on the assumption that they had graduated; but are yet to graduate due to outstanding courses.“

Prof Nwabuku added that of all the complaints by the external students that bordered on issues such as the inability to view profiles online, missing results, mistakes in course registration, inability to register courses, double matriculation numbers,   and no bursary number for payment purposes, culminated to over 5,509,863 scores, for over 47,583 of students’ results which had been extracted and uploaded on the new online platform that included a complaint form.

issues will be addressed within few weeks.

Prof Nwabuku, further urged the external students to complete their payment and , advised tthem to be weary   of persons who demand for money on the guise of helping   resolve any issue.
