By Esther Onyegbula

lagos—Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Lagos State Command, has repatriated 29 illegal aliens from the state.

Speaking during the exercise, Comptroller of  NIS,  Lagos State Command, Mrs. Clara Okojie, advised residents of the state not to harbour illegal immigrants as they posed danger to the  lives of individuals and the security of the state.

According to her, “as these 29 are today (yesterday) being repatriated to Niger Republic, the Lagos State Command will also like to use this opportunity to solicit for the public cooperation in the area of valued information on irregular or illegal migrants living in the neighbourhood and also to note that harbouring such ones is against the law.”

To ensure that those repatriated do not find their way back into the country, the command delegated two Deputy Comptroller of Immigration, DCI Ahmed Hamzat and DCI Saleh Abdullah to supervise the repatriation.
