Former Minister of Information and National Secretary, All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Mr. Labaran Maku, yesterday, raised alarm over alleged clandestine move by Nasarawa State Government to frame him as a sponsor of alleged new Ombatse group in the state.

Maku, in a statement entitled Plot to destroy my reputation, said the alleged attempt to associate his name with the group was politically motivated ”to destroy my reputation and silence the oppressed.”

Describing the accusation as false, unfounded and a wild figment of imagina-tion of his accusers,

Maku said: “Throughout my life, I never belonged to any cult or took part in any evil against any human being.

“I wish to alert the public through the media that there is a plot to frame me up as a sponsor of alleged new Ombatse violence in Nassarawa state.”
