In a statement, he said that the meeting marked the re-opening of the Niger Delta power house.

“We have confidence in the Chief Clark’s reunion of the Niger Delta power house. With the calibre of people invited and those who attended, which did not exclude any stakeholder, we don’t have any doubt that the power house would deliver on its mandate.

“The calibre of people at the stakeholders’ conference is the evidence before the world that Buhari’s government cannot continue to use the slogan of disunity in Niger Delta to deny the region of genuine peaceful dialogue. The ball is now in the court of Buhari’s government to come down to the negotiation table and engage in genuine dialogue,” Evah added.

The Niger Delta activist thanked the region’s leaders for displaying the power of unity, stating that it is the only way forward to address the issues affecting the region.
