BENIN—THE Consul General, Embassy of Germany in Lagos, Ingo Herbert, has expressed the readiness of the German government to partner  University of Benin, UNIBEN, with a view to exploiting opportunities that will enhance academic growth in the university.

Disclosing this at a 3-day capacity building and development training workshop for academic staff, researchers and scholars of the university, at the University of Benin, yesterday, the German Ambassador said that they were interested in special programmes and scholarships for academic researche.

He said: “We are very grateful for the initiative of the University of Benin to organise such a workshop together with the relevant institutions in Germany which are responsible for special programmes and scholarships for academic researches.”
