All roads lead to Campus Square Mini-Stadium in Lagos, July 30th when the Konami 2016 Charity Games will take the centre-stage. The event which will also feature top class entertainment will have six orphanage homes from across Lagos State participating.

Organisers said, there will be no winners and no losers as the event is aimed at giving the inmates a sense of value, entertain them and as well see to their needs.

According to the founder of Konami Nigeria, Olamide Olabisi, Konami was born out of a passion and need to help the less privileged, particularly the orphans in the society by blending sports, entertainment and charity to raise funds, provide gifts and give orphans a sense of belonging in the society.

The programme which is in its fourth edition, according to Olabisi, “will witness an expansion, in terms of participating orphanage homes from the usual four to six.

“Two more orphanage homes have been involved, bringing the number to six,” he said, adding that top Nigerian artistes like YC, Adekunle Gold and Nollywood stars will be on hand to provide the desired entertainment.

He also disclosed that the Lagos State Sports Commission and the state ministry of Tourism and Culture have indicated interest in the event. “The have pledged their commitment to the event and we are pleased that they have agreed to identify with the charity project,” he said.

The proceeds from the event would be given out to the participating orphanage homes in form of cash and material.
