The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy weather over central states with prospects of localized thunderstorms over Abuja ,Lafia , Jos and Jalingo on Saturday morning.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO), in Abuja on Friday.
It added that there would be isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Kaduna , Zaria, Jos, Nasarawa and Lokoja in the afternoon and evening with day time temperatures of 28 to 31 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy morning over the inland cities during the forecast period.
It also predicted localised rains over Lagos, Delta, Calabar, Port-Harcourt, Osogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka in the afternoon and evening with day time temperatures of 27 to 30 degrees Celsius.
NiMet also predicted that the northern states would experience cloudy morning with chances of localized thunderstorms over Kano axis and day time temperatures of 30 to 35 degrees Celsius.
According to the prediction, most parts of the country will experience some rains and isolated cases of thunderstorms in the next 24 hours.
