LAGOS—Participants at a staff session of Lagos State University School of Communication, LASUSOC, have called on the media to join in the fight against poverty in the country through indepth analysis of Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs, opportunities.

Guest speaker at the session, instituted by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Lanre Fagbohun, Dr. Toyosi Owolabi, said the issue of poverty and under-development, which had become a thorn in the flesh of Nigeria and most developing nations in Africa and Latin America, could be tackled through adequate information on SMEs’ opportunities.
