PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has called on the United States and European missions in Nigeria to show interest in the Edo State governorship election in order to ensure a free and fair exercise.

Ize-Iyamu’s appeal came as Governor Adams Oshiomhole was said to have held a two-hour secret meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Idris  in Abuja.

The PDP candidate spoke yesterday in Benin when he received Mr. John Bray and Mr. James Plasman, the Consul-General and the Economic Officer of the Consulate General of the United States of America.
