Chief Tom Ikimi, one of the pioneer founders of the APC has been described as a serial loser who would have led the party to defeat if he won the election to become national chairman, Governor Adams Oshiomhole has declared.

Speaking at the flag-off of the APC governorship candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, in Benin at the weekend, Oshiomhole described Ikimi of little political consequence in his Igueben base saying the APC would again defeat the PDP in the election there.

The governor’s attack on Ikimi followed the earlier depiction by Ikimi, a former foreign affairs minister of Oshiomhole as a “Kukuruku boy.”

The governor said “Ikimi, the guy Nigerians described as the area boy diplomat under Abacha called me a Kukuruku boy. But I am proud to be a kukuruku boy, but he has been a serial loser politically. He has never won any election in Igueben as a leader. I told some of my friends in labour that the most humiliating sacrifice I made, after being President of the NLC where we fought dictators was to find myself sitting with Ikimi, but I did not mind.
