The Abraham family in Ikota villa, Lekki, Lagos, is presently gripped with fear following the disappearance of a 49-old relative, Mr. Hope Ejerovbo, who was visiting.
The missing man, who came from Warri, Delta State, two Sundays ago, was to travel to the United Kingdom three days later, to join his family.
However, at about 7.30a.m. next day, Monday, he was said to have informed his host of his intention to take a walk round the estate. But apprehension set in when he did not return home and efforts to reach him on phone failed.
Speaking with Vanguard, one of Ejerovbo’s friends, Mr. Chukwuemeka Obi, stated that no one had contacted any member of the family to demand for ransom, thereby ruling out any possibility that he could have been abducted.
Obi said: “We have combed the entire area without luck. He is an easy-going man, very thorough and does not have many friends.
“I saw him Monday morning, and he said he was going to take a walk down the street.”
Policemen at Ajah Division, Tuesday, issued a report declaring him missing.
Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmus, when contacted, appealed to members of the public to assist police with information about the missing man.
She said: “Any information that can lead to recovery of missing Ejerovbo should reach Ajah Police Station or the nearest police division.”
