Speaking to Vanguard on the claim by Sheriff, Orbih affirmed that the PDP followed the stipulated procedure in holding the governorship primary which he said was fully attended by a delegation of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC after the stipulated notice.

Orbih further washed the state chapter of the PDP from whatever schemes anyone may have against the PDP at the national level.

“For us in Edo State, we are totally focussed and united and cut off from whatever anyone may be trying to do at the national head-quarters.

The party formally wrote INEC and gave 21 days notice before the primary and INEC duly responded and attended the primary with six senior officials who monitored the best-organised primary which was without bickering or mudslinging.

So, we have moved on from there,” Orbih said as he affirmed that the party is united behind Pastor Ize-Iyamu.
