YENAGOA—Following report of the death of two pensioners on Monday, while undergoing verification exercise at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, Yenagoa, the Director of Bayelsa Ambulance Medical Services, Dr Cynthia Bosbini, has described the report as false.

Debunking the report in a chat with newsmen, yesterday, Dr Bosbini said: “It was in the news, especially on social media that about two retirees died while on queue for the verification exercises but that is not true, we have been here since the exercise started and  I must tell you that nobody has died.

“The medical team is prepared and we have six nurses, doctors and other medical personnel here. On Monday about three persons slump. On Tuesday, we had other cases of collapse but most serious of them was Mr. Mbibiri Dickson from Egbedi community.

“The man was, however, stabilized via the ambulance with the able hands of the medical team on ground.”
