N9.1bn bailout: Ogun, NULGE disagree over alleged diversion profile

ABEOKUTA—Ogun State government and the leadership of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees in the state, yesterday, traded blames over alleged diversion of Federal Government’s N9.1 billion bail out.

While the President of NULGE in the state, Comrade Ayuba Olatunji insisted that none of the Local governments workers benefited from the N9.1bn bail out , the state government said every worker in the state employ benefited immensely.

The state government had announced that it got N9.1 billion bail out from the Federal Government and had paid some backlogs of emoluments owed the State workers .

But, the President of NULGE in the state denied the claim at a press conference held at the union secretariat in Abeokuta , saying, most of the workers in the state benefited, except local government workers.
