WARRI—Kurutie Community in Gbaramatu, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State,  has called for the commencement of studies at the Nigeria Maritime University located in Kurutie and Okerenkoko communities.

Apostle Monday Toruosei, chairman of Kurutie community, who addressed newsmen in Warri, lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for delegating a high powered team led by the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu to the assess existing structures at the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko and at its temporary site Kurutie, both in Warri South-West Local Government Area.

Toruosei added that there were lots of well built structures numbering about 25 standard buildings located at the temporary site of NMU Kurutie, saying that majority of the structures were storey buildings.
