ABAKALIKI—THE management of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana, weekend, insisted that the employment exercises by the institution followed laid down processes by the Federal Character Commission, FCC.
Reacting to the myriads of allegations, Rector of the institution, Ogbonnaya Ibe-Enwo, who spoke with Vanguard, contended that it was unfair for the House to pass any judgment on him without duly inviting him for fair hearing.
According to him: “After the employment, we also needed to do the regularization. In the absence of Council, there is what we call Expanded Management Committee; that committee is made up of the Rector as Chairman, the representative of the Minister of Education, representative of the Executive Secretary of National Board of Technical Education, NBTE, and all the principal officers of the institution. We all met and did all the due processes of regularization.
