Obaseki
By Simon Ebegbulem
APC aspirant, Godwin Obaseki was yesterday endorsed by Edo in Safe Hands, the pro-Oshiomhole group that was the backbone of the governor’s re-election in 2012.
Obaseki has also been endorsed by Senator Francis Alimikhena, APC Edo, North, and Diaspora Support Group, (GODSP).
Edo in Safe Hands presently led by the State Commissioner for Works, Barr. Osarodion Ogie, who is also Obaseki’s campaign manager, gave the endorsement at a rally held at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre in Benin.
Barr. Dickson Osaretin moved the motion for the endorsement after representatives of the group drawn from the 192 wards of the state signed the motion for the endorsement.
Chairman of the group, Washington Osifo said members of the group took the decision upon the conviction that Obaseki was the best material to sustain the legacy of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
The GODSP on its part made its endorsement when members of the group drawn from America and Europe and led by Mr. Efosa Ogierhiakhi paid a courtesy call on Obaseki in his campaign office in Benin.
