Abuja – The protracted crisis rocking Nigerian football has been linked to high level of corruption and infighting that have characterized the administration of the sport in the country.

Chairman of Grace Garden International School, Barr. Collins Aimuan made the assertion over the weekend in Abuja in an interview with newsmen.

According to him, if the managers of Nigerian football will adopt the same spirit which the owners of private schools apply in running their business, the Super Eagles will in no distant time be strong enough to defeat even  the world champions, Germany.

Aimuan who spoke while presenting the trophy which his school won in the last FCT Interschool Competition also revealed that his outfit effectively combines education with sports.

He added that sporting activities and development is one of the focal points of the institution which has seen their students participate in various sporting event around the world.

“Last year former Super Eagles coach, Daniel Amokachi flagged off our European League Competition which includes taking some students to Europe to meet with leading clubs.

The idea behind is to expose these students to also know that despite education excellence, that they can equally become big football icons like the big footballers they see on the television.

“Ours is an academy principally into the study of sports. In our academy we coaches being coordinated by Amokachi. Even though he is presently in Finland, he is always available to contribute to the dream. Our sporting equipment is worth hundreds of millions of naira. Our basketball and tennis court are ultra-modern.”
