YENAGOA—Ijaw women under the aegis of Ijaw Women Connect, IWC, have called on the senate to reject the list of ministerial nominees list sent by President Muhammadu Buhari for confirmation until all the states of the federation were justly represented.

President of IWC, Rosemary Naingba, who condemned the exclusion of Bayelsa State indigenes from the ambassadorial list in a statement in Yenagoa, said  that, “it appears the President has no iota of respect for the Federal character principle as enshrined in the Constitution and in consonance with the democratic precedence.

“It has become crystal clear that the Ijaw nation is the number one targeted enemy of this Federal Government as we have viewed critically the modus operandi and the discriminating style of governance by the Buhari led administration against the Ijaws.”
