B Jimitota Onoyume

PORT HARCOURT:  A Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nasiru Halidu and four other Policemen were shot dead at about 3am, yesterday, on Okobe, Ahoada West local government area of Rivers State.

Details were though hazy, but Vanguard gathered that the Policemen who were returning from a Special duty assignment in Yobe State to Bayelsa state were killed by the rampaging gunmen.

The other four Policemen were junior officers.
