Supremacy cult war in Ondo leaves one dead

Akure—THE supremacy battle between two rival cult groups in Ondo town, Ondo State has left a 24 -year-old boy dead, while three people have been arrested by the Police in the town in connection with the murder. Security has been beefed up in strategic locations in the town as men of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, SACS, have been patrolling the area.

Vanguard learned  that the victim, identified as Victor Olabode, said to be a strong member of the Eiye confraternity in the town, was reportedly murdered at about 10:30p.m. by some members of a rival cult group.

It was gathered that the rival group trailed Victor to his father’s house at Ajagbale Street before he was hacked down.

He was said to be sleeping when he was lured out of the house by a young boy acting the script of the rival group.

Immediately he came out, four members of the rival group reportedly shot at him at close range, while he reportedly died on the spot.

His corpse had been  deposited at the Specialist Hospital in Ondo.
