Security: Lagos advocates for state police

By Esther Onyegbula

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, has thrown its weight behind the call for the creation of state police, saying it will guarantee security of lives and properties in the state.

Executive Secretary, of LSSTF Dr. Abdurrazak Balogun, made the call at a media parley with  journalists in Alausa, on the activities of the trust fund.

According to him, the creation of state police was overdue noting that such would guarantee security of lives and properties in the state, saying, “It would go a long way in ensuring safety and making Lagos and Nigeria investors’ haven. The right time is now , especially under the present administration in Lagos State. It is progressive and Nigerians must ensure that it is done.

“We are used to talking about issues and forgetting about them after two weeks but Nigerians must make concerted efforts to call on our representatives in the Senate and the lower House in Abuja to do something about.”
