PDP chieftain extols Gbagi’s democratic ideals

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli South LGA of Delta State, Olorogun Okiemute Oviri Okwagbe (JP) has extolled the democratic ideals of Chief Kenneth Gbagi in respect of the way and manner he stood to ensure that the principles and spirit of democracy were followed to the letter during the just concluded PDP congress in Ughelli South LGA.

While addressing newsmen at Otu-Jeremi, Headquarters of Ughelli South LGA, Okwagbe pointed out that Chief Gbagi, who is the leader of the party in Ughelli South and a member of the PDP Board of Trustees, indeed enthroned true democratic process in the party in practical terms as encapsulated in the PDP Constitution.

He added that “the leadership style of Chief Gbagi has inspired a new way of thinking across the political class which no doubt will produce positive result and better the lots and fortunes of the party during electoral contest in Ughelli South in particular and Delta State in general.

“I have no iota of doubt in my mind that Chief Gbagi will take the party to greater heights, because from the facts already on ground, Gbagi is the most suitable person that can lead the party in Ughelli South at the moment.”

Okwagbe seized the opportunity to hail Governor Okowa’s SMART Agenda which, according to him, was determined more than ever before to bring prosperity to all Deltans. He also commended the wisdom of the Governor for directing the Deputy Governor Barr. Kingsley Otuaro to relocate from Government House, Asaba to the creeks in order to bring lasting peace to the troubled waterways in Delta State.
