LOKOJA—THE Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in Kogi State, has called on Governor Yahaya Bello to do everything possible to resolve the crisis rocking the state house of assembly and ensures unity among members.

The council also  charged the governor to mend fences with the political class in the state, particularly among his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, so that the state would be properly positioned for the change mantra as advocated by the APC.

State chairman of IPAC, Ibrahim Itodo, who stated this in Lokoja, said the judgment of the Federal High Court that nullified the impeachment of the speaker, MomohJimoh Lawal, had given room for the governor to bring the two factions together.

While joining the judiciary to condemn to purported impeachment by about five law makers, he said it was obvious that five law makers could not be more than 15, insisting that the judgment had rendered the decisions so far taken by the five lawmakers in the house null and void.

According to him: “We are using this channel to demand that all the bills passed from the inception of this administration by the minority members of the House of Assembly should be declared null and void, until the House of Assembly is one house for unity and progress of the state. Emphatically to redress the ugly trend, we are urging Governor Yahaya Bello to make all efforts to unite the House and resolve the impasse for accelerated development, because this is a test of his leadership quality and capacity to be tracked.”
