AS far as technology is concerned, the future is an explorative and predictive exercise particularly, when paying attention to the areas that are likely to impact people and environments. So it was not so surprising when Electronic, home appliances and mobile device maker, LG electronics recently unveiled a revolutionary product line tagged SmartThinQ.
LG says it’s x-raying the likely areas with a city-centric lens. The city of the future, according to the company, should focuses on particular areas that will likely affect how people experience and move throughout cities for years to come.
According to Head of Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics West Africa operations, Mr. Rajesh Agnihotri, “Technology is leading cities to more dynamic transportation systems where people shift seamlessly between multiple modes depending on their needs. As technology evolves to include products, a key challenge that must be addressed will be the implementation of an IoT ecosystem where user convenience is not compromised by the homes complexity”.
He added that his company envisages a situation where the quality of life will improve remarkably, when more of solutions like the SmartThinQ hub flood the market; devices that could play the role of gateway to the home’s smart appliances.
More in addressing today and tomorrow’s biggest environmental challenges, the LG also unveiled Therma V line devices, innovative technology of extracting heat from the surrounding air to minimize consumption of power. The eco-friendly technology powering the Therma V line up, according to Agnihotri, is affordable and can be installed with ease, aiding home owners to switch easily from obsolete home appliances to more advanced innovative climate control devices.
