Imo commences destruction of kidnappers’ property

OWERRI—Imo State Government has commenced the demolition of property allegedly owned by suspected kidnap kingpins operating in the state.

In line with the extant laws of the state, the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, accompanied by armed security personnel yesterday, supervised the demolition of houses in Ohuba, Ohaji/Egbema local government area of the state.

The names of the alleged notorious kidnap kingpins were given as John Chima alias Americana, aged 27, and Anderson Ahaneku, whose age could not be ascertained before press time.

Speaking before the demolition exercise, the Deputy Governor disclosed that the suspected kidnappers, have been on the run following their involvement in the kidnap of prominent personalities in the state.

It was the considered opinion of Prince Madumere that the state government will not and cannot support people who get rich through dubious means.

“This administration has never supported and will never support individuals that get rich through dubious and condemnable means”.
